The Department of Physiotherapy at CIIMHANS Comprises an experienced faculty with expertise in diagnosing and restoration of function to the physically ill. We at CIIMHANS have Physiotherapists who work in partnership with individuals of all ages to break down the barriers to physical function .

Physiotherapy is a drug-free health care practice. We use Conventional physiotherapy interventions such as ultrasound, interferential, active/passive mobilisation in our mental health setting. Physiotherapy has an important role to play in helping those with mental health problems. Research shows that regular exercise affects mood and increases self-esteem. Physiotherapists in mental health are required to manage patients with physical injuries related to self-harm, falls, fractures or other problems sustained while the patients are acutely unwell.
